Shaving Soaps, Gels, foams and Oils

Shaving Soap (Recommended): Requires a shaving brush to create a rich, thick lather. It produces a dense, creamy lather that provides excellent cushioning and lubrication.
Benefits: Often lasts a long time. Can be more hydrating than some foams and gels.

Shaving Oil (Recommended): Shaving oil is a thin, clear, low viscous liquid. It doesn't lather.
Benefits: Allows for better visibility of the area being shaved which is helpful for precise shaping. Provides excellent lubrication,. Economical, as only a small amount is needed.

Gel/Foam: Dispensed as a gel or foam and then typically worked into a lather on the face with hands or a brush. They produce a lather that is generally less voluminous and thinner than shaving soap.
Benefit: Can be more convenient and quicker to use than shaving soap.

After-shave, Moisturisers and Skin Tonics

Aftershave: Is a strong astringent that tightens the pores, reducing the risk of dirt and bacteria ingression. However, many traditional aftershaves contain a high concentration of alcohol, which can strip the skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness, tightness and flakiness. This is especially problematic for individuals who already have dry or sensitive skin.

Skin Tonic (Recommended): Our 100% natural Post-Shave Skin Tonic is based on a recipe from 1850.
Benefits: It contains witch hazel (a natural gentle astringent). This tonic balances the skin’s pH level. It also leaves a blend of light oils on the skin to provide all day hydration and protection.

Moisturiser/Face Protector (Recommended): The purpose is to hydrate and nourish the skin after shaving.
Benefits: Will act as a barrier to protect and shield the skin against environmental pollutants and irritants. It will help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
